These pendant lamps look like those cozy hats kids wear in winter. They even have that big pom-pom on top. In fact, we think they’re actually made out of real hats stretched on top of a sleek frame around the bulb. It might be possible to make something like this at home using a few simple tools so you could give it a try if you want.
A more subtle pop of color is an option when you choose a fixture where the color is on the interior, instead of the exterior as in this wooden pendant by Donald Baugh. The Crown Pendant has a curvaceous and profile made of solid wood with a hand-sprayed interior color.
When combined with other materials, concrete lends its beautiful attributes while also taking on some new characteristics. There’s this exchange of elements that always has a unique result. Concrete and wood make a nice duo, complementing each other in the most wonderful way. Atelier Mazine took advantage of this when designing the Twig I, II and III lamps.
